My name is Artem Hakobyan. I am currently living in Berlin, Germany.

I am a Programme Coordinator for the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative at the Hertie School of Governance. I also hold an LL.B. in Law from Armenia and an LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from Germany.

Over the past several years, I have worked with international organisations, including the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Hertie School, contributing to projects focused on human rights, democracy, leadership, and international cooperation. Living and working in Armenia, China, France, and Germany has given me the opportunity to collaborate with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds while contributing to impactful projects.

Alongside my professional work, I have always believed in the importance of community engagement and opportunities for young people. I support Armenian youth in their professional endeavours. I believe that strong connections between Armenia and the Diaspora are built through collaboration, shared experiences, and meaningful dialogue, with the interests of the Republic of Armenia at the forefront.

As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador, I hope to contribute to institutionalising Diaspora–Armenia connections, build lasting relationships across the global Armenian community, and support initiatives that strengthen Armenia’s future.
