Arthur Ipek
My name is Arthur Ipek. I am from New York, U.S.A.
I received my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, where I specialized in Psychology and Linguistics. I pursued further studies in Neuroscience and am currently studying at New York University (NYU), where I’m focusing on Consumer Psychology.
At present, I am actively engaged in both the ecclesiastical and intellectual life of the Armenian community in New York. Since childhood, I have served as a deacon in the community's three Armenian churches. I also present research in Armenian Studies at Armenian Studies departments across the United States, primarily in the areas of literary studies and sociolinguistics. Alongside these activities, I have mentored university students interested in Armenian Studies in the fields of art, literature, and history. Furthermore, my Armenian-language writings have been published in periodicals in Beirut, Istanbul, and the United States.
As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador, I hope to broaden my horizons while gaining a deeper understanding of both my homeland and the interconnected Armenian communities of the Diaspora. Through my community work, I have already sought to build bridges between the Armenian communities of the United States and Istanbul, and I am eager to foster similar ties between the United States and Armenia, particularly through initiatives inspired by cultural diplomacy.
