Hovik Martirosyan
My name is Hovik Martirosyan. I was born in Yerevan and I currently live in Kiel, Germany.
I am currently studying law at the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel. I specialize in antitrust and copyright law. I am also a qualified insurance specialist.
As part of my professional career, I worked for a reinsurance company. Since my student years, I have been voluntarily working on asylum and residence law issues, providing legal advice to refugees. During my school and university years, I was awarded scholarships from various foundations and leading international law firms.
Since 2021, I have been actively involved in the activities of the German-Armenian Lawyers' Association and am currently responsible for membership issues within the association. Together with members of the association, I participated in the creation of a German-Armenian legal dictionary, a project that lasted over three years.
As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador, I will strive to use my legal knowledge and social and civic potential to contribute to the development and prosperity of Armenia. I want to contribute to the unification of Armenian youth in Germany and strengthen ties with the homeland.
