Meri Matevosyan
My name is Meri Matevosyan. I was born in Armenia and I currently live in Vienna, Austria.
I work as a teacher of English, psychology, and philosophy at a bilingual academic high school in Vienna.
I am actively involved in the life of the Armenian community in Vienna. As a board member of the Armenian Students' Union (ASV), I work with my team to strengthen ties between young Armenians living in Vienna and the surrounding area. We organize various cultural, educational, and community events, including Armenian church and national holidays, lectures and informational meetings, as well as youth and recreational activities.
As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador I hope to extend my community activities, find new opportunities to exchange experiences with active young Armenians from around the world, gain new knowledge, and develop new approaches to community leadership, youth engagement, and cooperation within the Diaspora. I want to use the knowledge gained through the program and the connections made to promote the development of the Armenian community in Austria and inspire more young people to take an active role in preserving and passing on Armenian heritage.
