My name is Nevart Terzian. I am from Toronto, Canada.

I am an instructor at McMaster University and am pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. My work sits at the intersection of health, science, education, and innovation. I am passionate about mentorship and expanding opportunities for young people in STEM, and I hope to help create pathways for Armenian youth to see themselves as future scientists, researchers, and innovators.

For the past three years, I have served as an executive with AGBU Young Professionals of Toronto, where I have led initiatives focused on community-building, professional connection, and engagement with Armenia. I am particularly proud of leading a fundraising initiative for the AGBU Artsakh Relief Fund, an experience that showed me the impact the Diaspora can have when we come together around a shared purpose.

As a Diaspora Youth Ambassador, I hope to bring together my experience in community leadership, academia, and education to build meaningful bridges between Armenia and the Diaspora. Ultimately, I hope to facilitate connections among Armenian youth, students, and professionals into lasting opportunities for collaboration and growth.
