Repatriation and Integration Center
Short Information
Purpose
A comprehensive resource center for repatriates.
About the Center
In order to effectively organize the process of repatriation and ensure rapid integration into Armenian society, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs has established a first-of-its-kind Repatriation and Integration Center, which serves as a comprehensive resource center to aid potential repatriates with every aspect of moving their lives, families, and business ventures to Armenia, demystifying a process that may otherwise be perceived as complicated, conflicting, and inaccessible.
The goals of the Repatriation and Integration Center are to promote repatriation, ease the repatriation process, and ensure a smoother integration process for Diaspora Armenians moving to the homeland.
Individualized Support
The Repatriation and Integration Center (Center) offers access to highly trained representatives that provide individualized support in every aspect of the repatriation process, from pre-departure and moving, to settling into life in Armenia.
Integration Support Specialists liaise with various government and non-governmental organizations to find appropriate solutions to all repatriation issues.
Each repatriate, or family of repatriates thinking about moving to Armenia is assigned an Integration Support Specialist who serves as their primary point of contact throughout the entire process and manage their case.
Dominant languages in the Diaspora are accommodated, including Eastern and Western Armenian, English, and Russian.
The Integration Support Specialists provide consultation and practical support in the following areas:
- citizenship and residency permits
- moving personal belongings and business equipment
- healthcare
- education and culture
- social services
- employment and work permits
- military conscription and service
- taxes, registration, licensing
