RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan met with the National Director of the SOS Children’s Villages Armenia Charitable Foundation, Spartak Sargsyan.

During the meeting, the director presented the organization’s current initiatives.

The SOS Children’s Villages Armenia Charitable Foundation began its activities in Armenia immediately after the devastating 1988 Spitak earthquake. It is a child-centered organization whose mission is to provide care for children in difficult life circumstances in a family-like environment.

The foundation’s activities include 24/7 alternative care services (both long-term and short-term), as well as family strengthening programs, including a mother and child shelter and daycare services, operating in Yerevan and the regions.

Zareh Sinanyan commended the foundation’s work, emphasizing the importance of its child-centered approach.

The discussion covered new opportunities for cooperation, as well as the Office’s support in fostering strong and effective relations with various Diaspora communities.
