A New Program for Specialists from the Diaspora

High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with Hayk Margaryan, the Director of the National Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Armenia (NCIE). Mr. Margaryan outlined a program implemented by the government, to boost the productivity of businesses through the engagement of highly skilled professionals into the labor market, by subsidizing their salary expenses. This initiative serves as additional support and incentive for Diaspora Armenians to repatriate to Armenia and work in the country's private sector.
«This program promotes professional repatriation and provides compensation to private companies staffed by Diaspora specialists. Those specialists who have lived outside Armenia for at least 12 months in the last 30 months, graduated from one of the leading 400 universities in the QS World University Rankings (QS World University Rankings), published in the year of applying to the program, and received a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and/or higher, can apply to the program. Specialists must also have at least 10 years of experience in companies included in the rating or index issued by the following companies-issuers of the rating or index: Forbes, Fortune, HeadHunter, NIFTY, Dow Jones, FTSE, S&P, SSE Composite, SZSE, KOSPI, KOSDAQ, SSE SENSEX, NSE of India, BOVESPA, IBrX, ITEL, Nikkei, TOPIX, DAX, MDAX, MOEX Russia,» said Hayk Margaryan.
High Commissioner Sinanyan noted the immense value of the program and mentioned that it is a continuation of the «iGorts» program of implemented by the office, in which specialists from the Armenian Diaspora work in the Republic of Armenia's public sector and government.
During the meeting, key points of the program and further cooperation were discussed.
