Step Toward Home Phase 2 Concludes
Office
Returning with sunshine and warmth from the Homeland: The second phase of the Step Toward Home educational excursion program concluded with a closing ceremony. Sixty-eight young Diaspora Armenians from Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Denmark, and the United States toured Armenia, improved their Armenian, learned national songs and dances, and made many good friends.

iGorts Diaspora Professionals Travel to Lori Region

This week, Diaspora Armenian professionals from our iGorts 2020 program went on a two-day excursion to the Lori region. Alongside taking in the scenic landscape, they visited various historic Armenian churches - Sanahin, Haghpat and Odzun. The professionals also toured the Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum in the village of Dsegh before heading over to COAF Smart Center located near Debed village, where they spent a night at COAF Concept Hotel.

Repatriates Introduced to New Business Opportunities

As part of our Info Sessions for Repatriates series, the RA Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs held an informational meeting on business opportunities in Armenia. The meeting was attended by approximately 60 repatriates from Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, the United States, Israel, Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey.

100 Diaspora Youth Take Step Toward Home

Our Office’s Step Toward Home program is in progress. During the first three days, approximately 100 Diaspora-Armenian youth arriving from eight countries visited the Matenadaran, Oshakan, AGBU Armenian Virtual College, and Tsitsernakaberd. They also began courses in Armenian language, Armenian studies, and Armenian song and dance.
