Vanik was born in Yerevan. In 2006, he moved to Brussels, Belgium. He received his higher education in Brussels (Bachelor of Political Science and Master of International Relations specializing in conflicts, peace, and security).

After a long 16-year absence, returning to Armenia was a complete shock for him. “The crisis that Armenia is experiencing after the 44-day war requires the participation of all Armenians in a collective effort for reconstruction and development. «iGorts» program allowed me to rediscover my country and make my humble contribution to the prosperity of the Republic of Armenia».
