Hayk Azizbekyan has been designated as the Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs in the Netherlands

The establishment of the Institute of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs is being progressively rolled out in Armenian communities around the world, marking its second implementation on January 18. By the directive of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Hayk Azizbekyan has been designated as the Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs in the Netherlands, serving as an advisor in a public capacity.
Hayk Azizbekyan, an international lawyer originally from Yerevan and residing in the Netherlands for an extensive period, received his education at Leiden and Harvard Universities. He is recognized as the founder-president of the EU Investment Programs in Armenia NGO and the creator of the legal and financial firm "AHG JUSTITIA."
The integration of the Institute of Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs aims to enhance the networking capabilities of the High Commissioner's Office for Diaspora Affairs. The primary objective of establishing the Diaspora Affairs Commissioner is to foster collaboration between Armenia and the global Armenian Diaspora. This initiative seeks to improve the effectiveness of activities in this domain, promote stable relations between Armenian communities, harness the potential of these communities, and support endeavors related to the preservation of Armenian identity, repatriation, and the organization of events facilitating the integration of Diaspora Armenians in Armenia.
