During his visit to the United States, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with representatives of the Armenian Educational Foundation, headed by President Peter Baghdassarian. There were discussions around important educational initiatives tied to bringing together Diaspora educational organizations and holding a joint forum, providing scholarships to wounded servicemen and customs issues linked to charitable goods being sent from the Diaspora to Armenia.

High Commissioner visits Artek Armenian Kindergarten in Glendale

High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan visited “Artek” Armenian kindergarten in Glendale, which now has more than 50 pupils. The Commissioner learned about the children’s day-to-day activities, watched Armenian song and dance performances and noted the importance of preserving and developing Armenian identity from an early age.

Diaspora Armenian Occupational Therapists at the Armenian Red Cross Society

Armenian American Occupational Therapist from New York, Alissa Bonjuklian, was recently in Armenia for two weeks working with injured servicemen from the recent Artsakh War at the, Gratsia International Rehabilitation Center.
Working alongside Alissa as an Occupational Therapy Aide was Talin Mirzaei, Armenian American student from Los Angeles, California.
