Armenian National Youth Forum 2025 - Echoes of Armenia: Our Traditional Instruments

On August 5, as part of the Armenian National Youth Forum 2025 first day with the theme “Shared Vision and Unified Efforts,” the music workshop titled “Echoes of Armenia: Our Traditional Instruments” was held.
Throughout the workshop, forum participants were introduced to the sounds of Armenian musical instruments, discovering their histories and cultural secrets.
Speakers at the workshop included: Alexandra Ohanian, qanon player, soloist with the Sassoun Orchestra of Marseille; Grigor Davtyan, percussion specialist; and wind instrument specialists Grigor Kartashyan and Erik Avagyan.

On August 5, as part of the first day of the Armenian National Youth Forum 2025, “Shared Vision and Unified Efforts” theme, an interactive session titled “Armenian Dialects: Commonality in Differences” was held where speakers explored the diversity of the Armenian language—from Eastern to Western Armenian—and addressed current issues around preserving and developing the language in today’s reality.

Armenian National Youth Forum 2025 - Living Heritage: Armenian Traditions Today

Day one of the Armenian National Youth Forum 2025 kicked off with the theme “Shared Vision and Unified Efforts.”
Following the charity run that marked the start of the forum, the day launched into its first round of three simultaneous panel discussions.
During the interactive discussion titled “Living Heritage: Armenian Traditions Today,” speakers presented how traditional values are being reimagined in modern ways through art, fashion, cuisine, handicrafts, and dance—connecting the past and the present.

The Second Armenian National Youth Forum officially kicked off today, August 5, near the Matenadaran with a charity run under the theme “Run Together: Armenia x Diaspora.”
Along with the youth, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, also joined the run with his family.
The run was organized in partnership with the charitable platforms IMAST and reArmenia.

The Diaspora Youth Ambassador program is returning for its fifth edition this year

The Diaspora Youth Ambassador program, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, is returning for its fifth edition this year.
Participants for the 2025–2026 cohort have already been selected. This year, 30 young people from 15 countries will take part in the program, including France, the United States, China, the Netherlands, Romania, Poland, Spain, Germany, Russia, Iran, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, and Estonia.

Participants of the fourth phase took part in a memorable 13-day camp, during which they visited key historical and cultural sites across Armenia, including Matenadaran (the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts), the Dzitoghtsyan Museum of National Architecture in Gyumri, among others.

The participants of the third round of the Step Toward Home program are concluding their two-week journey in Armenia today

The participants of the third round of the Step Toward Home program are concluding their two-week journey in Armenia today. Throughout the program, they deepened their understanding of Armenia’s history and culture, enhanced their Armenian language skills, formed meaningful connections, and created lasting memories.
This round brought together 123 Armenian youth from the diaspora, aged 13 to 18, who arrived in Armenia from 12 different countries.

The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The memorandum was signed by High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan and UATE Executive Director Sargis Karapetyan, outlining key areas of collaboration aimed at fully integrating the technological potential of the Armenian Diaspora into Armenia’s tech ecosystem and giving the “DigiTec 2025” exhibition a truly pan-Armenian character.
